Technological developments are transforming the sector of financial services. However, some financial services are still unavailable to consumers or are not provided to them in due quality. Insurance is a popular and important financial service. The problem of increasing the availability of insurance services is relevant both for insurance organizations and their clients. The authors attempted to determine possible directions for increasing the availability of insurance services. They assessed the availability of insurance services using the main indicators defined by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, i.e., insurance market infrastructure, demand, quality, usefulness, etc. After that, they identified the current trends in financial availability on the insurance market. The availability of insurance for the population may be increased by a number of measures. Insurance companies should launch their mobile applications and expand the range of relevant insurance products. They should improve the interaction between all stakeholders of the insurance process, as well as increase insurance literacy and culture of Russians by training insurance agents.
